Moving home is always hard. But what if you didn’t have anything to furnish your new home? Happly is proud to partner with ReLove for the less fortunate who are moving out of crises such as domestic abuse. ReLove redistributes pre-loved, seconds and surplus furniture from suppliers, individuals and corporates.

They offer a safe place for people in crisis to obtain everything they need to furnish their new home including furniture and other items. But perhaps more importantly, they help people restart their lives with the agency to choose how they want to live. Good for people, good for the environment and good for you!

What donations are accepted?

Bed frame (Double), Bed frame (Queen), Bed frame (Single), Bedside table, Chest of drawers, Coffee table (no glass top), Dining chairs, Dining table (no glass top), Dryer, Fridge, Mattress (Double, perfect condition, no marks or stains), Mattress (Queen, perfect condition, no marks or stains), Mattress (Single or King Single, perfect condition, no marks or stains), Side table, Sofa (2 – 2 1/2 seater), TV / Entertainment unit, Washing machine (less than 7 years old)

Is there a pick-up service for furniture donations?

Currently, we only provide drop-off services for furniture donations. Please check our platform for the nearest drop-off location.

What happens to the furniture items after donation?

Donated furniture is carefully inspected, cleaned, and then distributed to individuals and families in need through our partnership with ReLove charity.

Are there any restrictions on the types of furniture you accept?

While we appreciate all donations, we can only accept items that are in good condition and suitable for reuse. We cannot accept severely damaged or unsafe furniture.

Do you have other partnerships with local charities and organizations?

Yes, we have partnered with ReLove charity, an organisation dedicated to redistributing furniture directly to people in need in the Sydney community.

Is my furniture donation tax-deductible?

Donations made through our platform to the ReLove charity are tax-deductible. We can provide you with a donation receipt for tax purposes. Donating your furniture won’t be tax-deductible but is very much appreciated!
